As international women’s month rounded up Dr Yemisi Adeyeye was recognized on the list of 100 women creating a better Africa ( 100WCBA) 2023 amongst other notable African women by Weforgood International
We for good international wrote on their LinkedIn page saying:
We’re excited to wrap up this International Women’s Month with the announcement of our 4th 100 Women Creating a Better Africa (100WCBA) List.
What we love most about this year’s list, as with previous editions, is the diversity of the nominations. The list features former presidents, CEOs of organisations as well as youths leading change in their communities. The women on this list come from varied backgrounds, ranging from tech to agriculture. There’s also a wide scope in terms of their years of experience and the length of time they’ve been making an impact. Nevertheless, all 100 of them share the common trait which defines the initiative: they’re doing their bit in small and big ways, showing up daily to create a better continent for us and future generations.
The mission of the 100WCBA initiative is to celebrate women’s contribution to Africa’s Sustainable Development, and we pay particular attention to those women who often work behind the scenes. This is why we rely on your nominations to help us find them; we want to celebrate them, encourage them and hopefully we can inspire more women to take action.
Consequently, while you may identify some known faces, a number of these ladies are getting this level of recognition for the first time and we’re privileged to be providing them a great platform, revealing them as some of the continent’s best kept secret.
In the same vein, a few faces just keep showing up on the list. Lol. What can we say? A city set on the hill cannot be hidden!
To all you wonderful women on this year’s 100WCBA list, we honour you and we appreciate you. Thank you for answering the call to serve in your chosen field – going beyond business as usual to make a real difference.
To all those who took the time to nominate, we appreciate your effort to support greatness. Let’s do it again.
To you dear fam, join us to celebrate these women! They are the real MVPs.
Please tag those you recognize or simply comment with: “Thank you for creating a better Africa.”
